Options for your automated gate

What features can your automated gate come with?

Automated gates are a great way to make your property more secure whilst also adding a touch of style. Who doesn’t dream of coming home to see beautiful gates smoothly opening up for you, without the need to clamber in and out of the car to open them yourself?

Not only are electric gates convenient, their bespoke designs and elegant craftsmanship are also a gorgeous addition to any driveway. Automated gates are sure to impress any visitor, whether that be a friend coming round for dinner or an executive arriving at a meeting.

Crucially, of course, our automated gates can provide peace of mind with an extra level of security for your property. The sight of a gate at the top of a driveway is a strong deterrent for potential thieves, and in addition to this the automation of the gates allows for even greater protection.

There are a few types of automated gates which we may recommend for different reasons:

Swinging Gate Automation

The classic style of automated gate which you may have seen adorning the driveways of mansions in the movies, swinging gates are a very popular choice.

These gates are made up of two pieces which swing open in one direction to allow access through the middle. This means that your driveway needs to have enough space for the gates to swing easily open and closed, and the ground surrounding the gates needs to be level.

Sliding Gate Automation

Sliding gates don’t require as much space for a successful installation as swinging gates do, as the whole gate simply slides horizontally in parallel to the wall or fence and tucks away there. This makes a sliding gate a perfect choice for a smaller driveway.

The gate is mounted onto rollers and then slides along a track on the ground for a gentle and smooth open and close. This track just needs to be kept clear to keep that slide smooth.

Sliding gates are also a slightly more secure option as they are just one piece, making them stronger and less able to be forced open due to their lack of weak points.

Remote Control

Our automated gates can be controlled via remote control – perfect for anyone who loves a gadget. This option also has the benefit of allowing you to open and close your gates at a click of a button from inside your home or workplace, without having to run out in the rain to let anyone in.

Video Intercoms

For additional security and peace of mind, our automated gates can be installed with a video intercom system. This allows you to see exactly who is trying to come in before you open your gates, without having to even look out of a window.

This is also extremely useful for properties with particularly long driveways where the gate may not be clearly visible from the building.
